Jessica Kenzel Goode, 23, of Winchester, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in Franklin County, VA.
She was born June 13, 1986 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of David L. and Carol Wade Goode.
Jess was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a senior at Ferrum College where she was studying Environmental Science. She was passionate about the environment and had served an internship with USDA.
Surviving along with her parents of Cross Junction are; a sister, Heather A. Pyle and her husband Nathan and their child Isabella all of Winchester; and a brother, Matthew D. Goode of Winchester.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winchester with Rev. Dr. James H. Utt officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jessica Kenzel Goode Environmental Sciences Scholarship Fund at Ferrum College, P. O. Box 1000, Ferrum, VA 24088.
